   San Diego Animal Rescue is a nonprofit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) organization, officially founded in 1998.  Our mission (and passion) is to help homeless pets (abandoned, abused and/or from shelters) and find them loving homes.  We operate solely by volunteers who graciously open their homes to foster rescued animals throughout San Diego County.

Adoption Information

• Cats can be viewed at anytime at the PetSmart located in the Trolley Square in Santee ( directions).  To adopt a cat, please notify a shelter volunteer at the Santee store, call or email the shelter , or visit PetSmart on Saturday or Sunday from noon - 5:00 PM
  
• All dogs are kept in foster homes - not PetSmart - until they are adopted.  Some dogs may be viewed and adopted at the Santee PetSmart on Saturday and Sunday from noon - 5:00 PM.  Otherwise, please call or email the shelter  for more information.

• Adoption fees include spay/neuter and vaccinations - if they animal isn't already spayed/neutered - and support the cost of  maintaining the shelter.
